About Me

Hi! I’m Jasmine (she/her) — a multilingual storyteller and communications professional based in Metro Vancouver. I’ve spent the past 5 years crafting content that connects people, whether through journalism, digital media, or community outreach.

I recently completed my Master of Journalism at UBC, where I focused on visual storytelling, social media, and the power of narrative to drive engagement. These days, you’ll find me working as a Communications Assistant at the UBC Peter A. Allard School of Law, where I manage everything from event communications to digital content and web updates.

Before that, I was behind the mic (and camera) as a reporter and anchor in Hong Kong, Toronto, and Vancouver. My work spans podcast production, political reporting, and bilingual social media campaigns. No matter the format, I love digging into stories that matter, especially ones that celebrate culture, community, and connection.

I’m fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and I dabble in Korean and Japanese. I also nerd out over good design, clean edits, and the perfect interview question. One of my proudest moments? Being named a finalist at the 2025 Digital Publishing Awards for a multimedia feature on food and memory.

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me sketching ideas in Canva, editing a podcast, or exploring the local food scene.

Let’s connect if you're looking to collaborate on meaningful stories, creative campaigns, or cross-cultural communications.
